Lexis opens its doors
By Giorgos Georgoudis, with a hand-operated press
and a cabinet of Greek type.

A heritage of
exceptional printing.
Since 1949, LEXIS has been writing its own story in Nea Ionia, as the city's first print shop. The craft has passed from one generation to the next, guided by a love of paper, the magic of print and an insistence on getting every detail right.
Today the authenticity, sound and feel of traditional typography meet the precision of offset and digital technology. Paper, texture, the balance of a layout and the smallest details take centre stage. Real quality can't be imposed. It shows in every choice, every finish, every impression.

As demand grows from publishers and local businesses,
the family brings in an automatic cylinder press
and expands the team of typesetters.
Offset printing expands the workshop’s capabilities, while letterpress remains a favourite for invitations, business cards and special print work.

Digital prepress replaces the typesetting room, but an experienced eye still checks every colour match.
The founder’s grandson takes charge of day-to-day operations, expanding into digital and large-format printing.

Almost eight decades later, the first press is still in regular use.
From a single hand-set card
to a catalogue of thousands
of copies, every job is
set up, tested and delivered
with the same respect for the result.
Logo, identity and print material, designed to look right on screen and on paper.
Large runs with exact colour, from a single special ink to four-colour CMYK and varnish.
Small runs and proofs, ready in a few days, on papers that don't feel digital at all.
Type pressed into the paper: a print you can feel as well as see.
Posters, banners and exhibition panels with museum-grade clarity.
Gilding, embossing, die-cutting and special paper textures.
Boxes, sleeves and labels, designed and finished to serve the brand.
Two sides, gilding, painted edge. Small print. Lasting impression.
Weddings, openings and christenings, in Greek or in any language.
Diaries, notebooks, boxes and accessories with your logo, for gifts people will actually keep.
Shop signs, window lettering and signboards, designed to read clearly from a distance.
T-shirts, aprons and tote bags with printed designs, for teams, businesses and events.
Five stages, one person in charge from start to finish. Every job follows the same route it has since 1949.
Your idea is where it starts. Together we give it form, choosing the paper, proportions, colours and finishes. Every choice shapes a print that expresses your own identity, with distinctive quality and lasting elegance.
Files are checked, colours are separated and a physical proof is printed. Nothing goes on the press without your signature.
Offset, digital or letterpress, with constant checks at every stage. Colour matching is checked sheet by sheet.
Gilding, embossing, die-cutting, folding, stitching, bookbinding. The finishing touches that bring each piece to life.
Carefully packed, delivered throughout Greece and abroad, or ready for pickup from the workshop.
Trends change. A well-set page, a deep impression and a colour that matches the proof do not.
One workshop, one name, the same level of control since 1949.
Cotton, uncoated, recycled and handmade.
On working days you get a price and paper suggestions within 24 hours.
